Karnataka: After wife elopes with lover, man kills his daughters & roams with the bodies in his auto
Kalaburagi: Police said on Thursday that a man was arrested for allegedly murdering his daughters after his wife eloped with her secret lover in Karnataka’s Kalaburagi district.
According to preliminary investigations, the accused dumped the remains of his children beneath the back seat of his autorickshaw and travelled the city.
According to police, several people were riding in his autorickshaw without realising there were two dead bodies beneath their seats,
Police have identified the accused as Lakshmikantha (34), who is a native of Bhovi Galli in Kalaburagi’s Bamboo Bazar, and worked as an auto driver.
According to cops, the accused fell in love with a woman named Anjali and married her. The couple shared four children. His wife had eloped with her lover four months before. The accused suffered from serious mental stress and had become disturbed since then. He also consumed booze. After the lady eloped, the children moved in with their grandma.
Lakshmikantha went to visit his children on Tuesday and brought two of them, Soni (10) and Mayuri (8), to a park within the MB Nagar police station and suffocated them to death in his autorickshaw,
He had wandered the city until Wednesday afternoon and later surrendered to the authorities.
More investigation is being conducted.
